During
the Retreat we will look at aspects of Tantric Philosophy to explore
and understand the teachings of yoga and how we can weave these
practices into our daily lives. We will practice Anusara-inspired
Yoga.. This heart-centered approach to yoga, developed by John Friend,
is an uplifting and beautiful practice that inspires the celebration
of the heart and the innate goodness in all beings.
Pura Vida, meaning Pure Life, is located on a 12-acre
private estate of tropical splendor, atop a mountain in Costa Rica’s
Alajuela province at an elevation of about 5000 feet. It is surrounded
by coffee plantations and only 20 minutes from San Jose’s
International airport.
Between two continents and two seas, Costa Rica contains an astonishing
diversity and abundance of tropical flora and fauna. Caribbean and
Pacific beaches border a land filled with white-water rivers, waterfalls,
tropical rain forests, active volcanoes, mountain cloud forests,
exotic wildlife, and birds.
With a temperate climate-year round temperatures
range from 70 to 80 degrees during the day, and between 50 and 65
degrees at night. Renew your deepest connections with life as you
step into an oasis of beauty and tranquility. Enjoy walking the
paths on the land and discovering the many secluded spaces. There
are plenty of tranquil spots with hammocks, benches and grassy areas
for meditation, reading or just hanging out.
